At Lukewarm Legumes we pride ourselves on bringing you the very best information about everything food. This includes blogs about selecting the right knives for your kitchen, to recipes from our Test Kitchen, to reviews of local restaurants, and more.

One part about our passion for food is caring for the nutritional well-being of the inhabitants of our world. An organization we support that is helping alleviate hunger right here in the United States is called Feeding America.

The Mission of Feeding America is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.

Feeding America has adopted the following Statement of Values, which guides all of their actions and planning.

A food blog for everyday living.

A food blog about more than just legumes, but also about legumes. The culmination of 3 food lovers and how they came together to share their experiences, creations and in some cases, disasters!

LukewarmLegumes is a play on words.  Most people are familiar with the saying “cool beans.”  When two of the contributing authors (Tim and Tiffany) were talking about food, one mentioned a rekindled interest in legumes and the conversation drifted… Next thing we knew the term Lukewarm Legumes was thrown out as something Tiffany used to say.  The name really clicked and we had been hunting for a blog title for at least a month.  So we ran it by the other contributor (John) and here we are. Lukewarm Legumes, right?!?!?
